As some of you know, I needed work done on the engine of my coach. In
particular, the heads needed valve work. That was all done and it starts
and runs fine. However, when the disassembly was done by my mechanic
friend, I didn't pay attention to how the cruise control cable was attached
to the carb linkage. And now I am paying the price! It appears that it
needs to go on a nub to the right of where the throttle linkage attaches on
my carb. There does not seem to be enough room to put it on the same side
as the throttle and even if there was, the angle and the cruise bracket
seems to cause interference. But if it does go to the otherside, I appear
to have no means to keep it on the nub. That is, there is no leftover clip,
etc. to keep it from bouncing off. So, any suggestions as to how to solve
my problem?
Here is a link to photos on the GMCphoto site showing what I am working
with.

Fay, not my image but this is what it looks like. A plastic clip snaps over the ball.

Joe sent me a picture of what I think I need, but not sure where to get it.
Picture of connector in link above, I don't think is right - is it for the
original cruise control? Then again, after looking at it and comparing the
picture to Joe's, they might be the same - just Joe's is in better shape!
Posted a picture of the connectors included in the cruise control kit.
Number 5 is what Bert had installed and was "working" before the heads were
removed. Like I said, not sure what he did and guess it doesn't really
matter now as long as I can get something that works!
Link for the 5 assorted connectors:

Thanks for the assistance.
