It looks like the thing to use in street rods these days for flexible fuel lines is stainless braided teflon.
You can use screw together fittings and build your own.
They have adapters to hard lines and quick connects.

Besides cost, does anyone think badly about teflon fuel lines?

I've read that braided stainless lines can be abrasive to stuff it rubs on so I kept ours pretty much away from anything especially wiring. Earls speed flex hose in size 6 has carbon in it so no problems with return type systems, ours has been on there since 2009.
