If it's 4WD and has a hi-lo transfer case you can set in neutral it ought to can.

I down loaded the bulletin on my other computer. IIRC it was around 2000
that it came out. I was most concerned myself until I saw the 'official'
statement.
I wonder if anyone else tows a Rav4 in that year range...?
