On Sunday evening, Channel 25 KOKH (Fox) in Oklahoma City aired a brief item about a motorhome that had an engine fire at a tollbooth. I tuned in to the channel at the end of the video. The front of the coach was truly "toasted" but it sure looked to me that it was a GMC.

Has anybody else seen anything on this or reported the incident?

G'day,

It would be interesting if someone from the OKC area could follow up on this and find out what the root cause of the fire was. I've
pasted the text from the article below:

A Recreational Vehicle fire closes down an exit on the Kilpatrick Turnpike

The Oklahoma City Fire Department are responding to an RV fire that occurred at the Kilpatrick Turnpike toll booth going westbound
on N. Santa Fe Ave. The fire occurred around 4:15 P.M. Sunday.

Authorities say when the RV pulled into the toll booth, an OHP Officer smelled a large amount of gasoline coming from the vehicle
and as the officer approached the fire started.

Emergency Crews say that the flames could be seen up to 15 feet high.

No injuries or damage to the toll booth were reported.

One lane of the toll booth was re-opened at 4:45 P.M. but crews are still working the scene.

Speculation follows: Since the OHP Officer smelled gas there was a fuel leak somewhere that ignited when they slowed down at the
toll booth. While under way there was enough air flowing around the engine to keep it from getting hot enough to ignite or blew it
out.

Rob M.

Sad to see one so badly damaged. Lesson to all, get (Bounds??) fire extinguishing system AND a large hand carry fire extinguisher.
To me thats right after getting it to "go"..........maybe before!
