Hi all,
Just finished replacing the power steering pump and now the wipers don't move. Pump has been thoroughly bled, wiper motor filter was removed a few years ago when the steering gear was replaced (a requirement per Dave Lenzi). I checked the pwr steering pump fluid level and it is fine. I also actuated the wiper motor switch at the motor by hand thus eliminating any adjustment issues of the switch but still no joy.
Not sure what else to check. Does this mean the motor is shot? Can't think what eles could be the problem.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Did you try moving the wipers by hand with the engine running and the wiper control in the ON position? Perhaps the wiper motor is airlocked and needs to be cycled a couple of times to get the air out.

Hmmm, this seems like a good time to announce that, due to my excess
inventory, I'm running a sale on the electric wiper kits: $150 for the
hardware vs normal $200. The wiring harness is still $100. All you need

It took my wipers 1000 kilometers before they worked properly.
It firsth they did nothing then a wipe every now and again then slowly and at last well It seems air get trapped

Ken, I do like the idea of switching to your set up and might just do that but we are leaving next week and I don't have the time to install before I leave.

The wiper motor is the highest point in the system, and consequently the hardest to get the air out of. As someone said, keep them turned on. Eventually, a small move, then more, and finally the air is purged.
Ken offers a good long term solution. And, the price is right. The only reason I don't have that setup is, I'm slowly trying to dope out a parallel blade system... I think it would clear more area. It requires a mockup to get everything in the right place the first time, since it will require cutting some holes in the front cap.

You should raise the engine RPM above idle when trying to move those wipers by hand, and make sure the control is ON. Doesn't have to be at the maximum speed position, and the RPM doesn't need to exceed 1500 or thereabouts. You may also need to turn the steering from lock to lock while doing this operation, so you may want to jack the front wheels to ease the load on the steering components.

Where do you get stock wiper blade refills? I have close by Advance, O'Rielly, AutoZone and WalMart. None have them, and the blade mount is an outlaw... modern 'fits 'em all' doesn't. I modified some cheapies into refills, but they aren't going to last.

--johnny I got mine off ebay. I did a search on the part numbers from http://gmcmotorhome.info/body.html#WIPER and ended up nobody had two, so had to buy one from one seller and one from another. I think they ended up being around $10 each with shipping. Internet search showed there is an auto parts store about 40 - 50 miles from me that stocks them, but it was cheaper to buy off ebay and wait for delivery than burn gas driving to get them. Summit Racing has ANCO 53-20s for $5.93 each, and two in a shopping cart with ground delivery estimated at $5.95 to my zip code is $17.81 a pair. By the time you factor in your gas to drive somewhere you will spend more than that trying to buy locally.

Wipers are now functional. Seems overnight the air got worked out. Checked them Sunday and they are working fine.
