My coach was sidelined for about a year and I lost the R-12 charge in my AC. Looking into ording some Duracool to recharge it I but came across some information on the Net & YouTube Videos about using Difluoroethane, found in cans of computer keyboard cleaners like "Dust Off." One buys this stuff at most office supply & electronics stores for pretty cheap. Looks interesting but I don't know if it would damage our AC components. Any experience or opinions out there?

Read Wikipedia article - sounds dangerous to use. Why not HC12a? Group has lots of experience with it. Get three cans and use approximate 2 1/2 cans. Easily available and not expensive.

I am pretty sure I will use Duracool. I was just curious if anyone had used the DustOff instead since it is so easy to get.
