For those of you that are die hard fans of AMC Mad Men did you see this weeks episode? Don was out in the middle of nowhere in rural USA. His caddie broke down and it took a couple of days for the local shop to repair. The problem on the caddie was broken valve train.
Wonder if one of the writers is a GMC owner?

Yup....valve train on the Cad 472-500 is the Achilles heal of that motor. IMHO, IF you are thinking of running a Cad 500 in your MH, you should go to any of the shaft valve trains that are available from the two major sources of after market 500 parts....MTS or The Cad Co. You will end up doing it anyway....do it now and save yourself a lot of future headaches. Just ask me or others how we know...
