G'day,

I recently was forwarded this information and thought the group would enjoy learning a bit.

STEERING

Under steer: when you hit a wall with the front of your car.

Over steer: when you hit a wall with the rear end of your car.

Horsepower: determines how fast you hit the wall.

Torque: determines how far you take the wall with you.

Regards,
Rob

Keith,
I think you got that one backwards.
Understeer is plowing and it feels like the car is Never going to turn.
Oversteer is kind of fun, like a full christy in skiing, but now you control the radius with power.

Matt, I did race, but I wasn't very good at it.

OOps you're right, I didn't think about it when I typed it.

My Vette can be made to oversteer with a press of the loud pedal Smile
