Has anyone replaced their original A6 compressor with an S6? It only weights 20lbs and is billed as a direct bolt in replacement for the A6.

Yes I did last year. Got it from JimK. Absolutely a direct fit, no issues installing. Probably half the weight as the A6

I have one too.
Just be aware of these issues;
1. it is filled with PAG oil, so flush your system
2. The pulley has a saw blade on the outside ( it looks like bolts ) keep the hoses far away or they WILL get cut. Karen and I both had that issue. Remember the engine rocks under load and rocks INTO the hoses
