Hi all,

I just picked up a '77 with a Mondello 455. It has aluminum heads so the socket size of the current plug is 5/8" as opposed to the stock 13/16". The plugs currently installed are Accel 763. Has anybody got that set up that would let me know what spark plugs they're running please.

Thank you

Check the link , there you will other brands with the identical plug http://www.sparkplug-crossreference.com/convert/ACCEL/763

I guess you will have to work a little to find the correct heat range as it will be different from the original cast iron head, but the last page on this link will show what edelbrock recommends and those heads are similar to yours http://www.theengineshop.com/images/pdf/SparkPlugs.pdf

The late great Bob Drews had aluminum heads on his 455. Now owned by Kim and Keith Weeks. Maybe contact Keith and Kim and ask what plug is now in those heads. JWID

I agree with Rob. If it's a Mondello built motor, I would call the Mondello
shop in Crossville, TN.
