For some time now the GMC has had a loud metallic clicking coming from the engine. Today I had the oil analyzed and got a very clean bill of health with no problem areas. Also today, I had a new exhaust system installed (very holey) and almost all of the engine noise went away. The mechanic said that both exhaust gaskets were leaking and that's where the remaining noise was coming from. So, I'm ordering a new set of Remflex and I'll be good to go.

Good choice on the Remflex, handle with care, they are very soft and will bend easily.... and don't over torque.

Jerry,

Glad to hear the oil sample was good!

Another spot that kind of noise can come from is the choke port on the top of the intake manifold next to the carb.

Rob M.
