Hello Fellow GMC'ers,
I was looking to access what was called "the bird feeder"???
In the past, I would go there and look at past posts in order to not ask too stupid of a question, or if the subject has already been beat to death.
Can't seem to remember how I got there, or where to find it.
So, I will just ask this question that I know has been asked before.
I am attempting to replace the fuel line from my Onan to the port on the compartment drawer it is in.
It appears that the past owner used clear line and I do not know what it is.
After my scare on the way to Patterson a few weeks ago with a broken fuel line, I do not want to push my luck.
(I was very fortune how things worked out for us during our last trip).
Things broke (Quite a few) but all were a simple fix.
Could have burned my GMC to the ground if things had gone wrong.
My question:
What is the correct name of the fuel line I should use from Napa that is resistant to ethanol gas?
And while I got your attention:
Can anyone suggest a better battery company than Interstate?
I have been using Interstate batteries for many years in my pool trucks, personal vehicles, and such, but feel that they don't last as long as they should.
I bought 3 new batteries, three years ago (30 month warranty) for our GMC, and they are acting up. My time is up, and there is nothing to pro-rate.
I buy lots of stuff from Costco, and Interstate are the batteries they carry.
Just wondering what your thoughts may be on a better choice.
Thank you in advance for all the help, throughout the last three years.

Any brand of fuel line (Goodyear, gates, etc.) that is rated for low pressure and ethanol resistant should be fine. Your NAPA store should know, or you can check the manufacturer's website to find the proper hose. I would imagine that most stores are only carrying the ethanol resistant ones as that's the fuel we're stuck with.
Almost all the brands of batteries are built by one or two major manufacturers and branded differently. Johnson Controls seems to make many of them, and I would agree with you that they don't seem to last as long as they once did. I'd look at price and warrantee and not as much at the brand name, though I've had good luck with Interstate in the past. Even the battery ratings from Consumer Reports seem to indicate that there are differences on their ratings for different sized batteries in the same brand, so I think we're stuck. Using a good battery maintainer and being sure that the battery fluids are at the correct level are your best bets to get good life out of the battery.

It has a link to the web based forum.
I uses several different "public like" computers that I can not save book-marks. I just type "bdub.net" to get to <http://bdub.net/>

Glen,
Poor battery life or performance could be more about the battery charger vs the battery. If you still have the original battery charger an upgrade to a modern one would make sense. A new battery charger can help you make the most of your battery dollars.
Get rid of those old "Buzz Box" battery chargers.
