Isn't that about the same thing the English said about the colonies at one point........?
I have opened up a number of different brand macerators over the years and they all seem to have interchangeable parts inside. They all fail because of a crappy seal around the shaft that allows water to leak onto the mounting studs and into the motor. Those studs will eventually break and/or the motor will freeze up. The rubber impeller will eventually fail if you run them dry too long.

There is no way that Mexico or Mexicans will ever achieve the design, engineering, and manufacturing level of Japan. The Japanese
are world leaders when it comes to that. They were helped to achieve that status by an American by the name of Dr. D.W. Deming.

Even the Jabsco part has that Achilles heel.
Of course my wife likes to remind me to remind everyone “don’t let anyone you don’t completely trust use the head in the coach”.
Macerator jam. Yeech.
When I was a kid, the “junk” was Japanese. Then Taiwan. Then Korea. Then China.
Now Vietnam? Africa next?
Chinese “junk”… my iPhone was assembled where again?
Just have a stable government, lip service to environmental issues, and a you too can make the cheap stuff that takes you to prosperity.

Dolph,
I assume you are speaking about running the macerator dry. Both the Jabsco and the SeaFlo say they can be run dry. I would say the
running dry long enough to cause the impeller to fail would be operator error not a fault of either unit.
I noted that both units are self priming which I would assume to mean it will "lift" the sewerage sludge. However, I have never seen
a macerator installation in a GMC that had to do that. Every one I have ever seen the macerator inlet was located at the same level
or lower than the black tank outlet.
As far as your iPhone goes change "assembled" to "developed."
