Great find.
I went looking on eBay recently only to find none available. Guess I should grab one before they are gone for good.
Out of curiosity, had anyone researched parts availability for repairing these pumps?
Also, anyone have the full Ford part number for the pump? A426C might only be the parts group. The full number should have additional characters before and after the A426C.
Something like this:
E4TZ-A426C-A
(this is an example, not an actual part number)

Les,
I wouldn't worry about spare parts, I disassembled one of the three I have and noted that the rods that connect the crank to the
diaphragm have bearings at the bottom end and the flapper valves that control the inlet and outlet are stainless steel.
As far as the part number goes the eBay seller only listed A426C and that's where we got it and that's what this listing has it as
well:
http://www.evwest.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=41&products_id=193
Note the following in the ad above; "This pump was originally intended for use in Azure Dynamics Ford Transit Connect electric
vehicles."

Rob,
Of all the moving parts, it is the diaphragms I would expect to fail first, especially if a non compatible substance was ingested by the pump.
I'd like to find spares if possible.
Does the pump itself have no identifying markings alluding to it's manufacturer?

Pros/Cons vs. pump?
Dolph Santorine
PVC pro
simple
cheap
reliable (no moving parts except vac valve)
easy installation
PVC cons
Still has limited number of brake applications
Vac pump pro
unlimited brake applications
takes less space
Vac pump con
More complicated installation (requires electrical work)
more complicated mechanism and thus more opportunity for failure.
Others will add their thoughts. On mine I took the belt and suspenders approach. manifold vac ----> PVC pipe tanks -----> JC-4 vac pump ------> brake booster.

And. . . . . what is the Bosch part number?
Matt (or anyone with one of these pumps), at your convenience, I would appreciate if you could provide any numbers that are found on the pump. I'd like to try searching for a source for parts.
These pumps are just too nice to not have one, but if parts or replacement pumps are near impossible to find, I would hate having to re-engineer the installation if the pump fails.

Yes you can assign multiple signatures, but only one per email account as far as I can tell. You just need to set-up an email account specifically for your GMC content. Many of us have used Gmail specifically for this.
I have 6 different email accounts set up on my iPhone and each one has its own unique signature.

Having a spare pump is fine, but fixing the defective unit afterwards requires having the parts, which is the whole reason for my request for pump identification info. Nobody has come forward with a source of repair parts yet, so I would like to look for one myself. I would rather keep repair parts on hand rather than a complete pump.
If the pump is indeed a Bosch unit, there is likely info and parts available. It just requires enough digging to find them. Hard to do though without a model or part number from the pump.

Les,
I don't have one. I was at the shop of the guy in Wyandotte (MI) that had a stash and was going to get one, but this is the year of rebuilt knuckles and two new tires. He has since sold out.

I finally found a bit of info on my own. These pumps are made by Continental in Europe. The Ford A436C pump we have been seeing for sale online was from the Azure bankruptcy liquidation. There were literally thousands sold in auctions around the world back in 2012. I have seen no other references to them fitting anything else. Fortunately Continental makes variations of this pump specifically for electric vehicles, so I assume parts are (or will become) available. We just need to find them.
http://www.continental-corporation.com/www/pressportal_com_en/themes/press_releases/3_automotive_group/chassis_safety/press_releases/pr_2013_08_13_evp _en.html
The Continental part number I found online is: 03-7102.0433.4
I'm fairly certain there is a complete FORD number as well. In the following photo (in red square) you can see a blurry number that resembles a Ford part number. I'd like to know what is marked there on the pumps that everyone recieved?
