Sir: El1 has one compressor and a small air tank in the cabinet. El2 has 2 compressors and no tank.

Also el1 has air lines going to the leveling valves in the rear wheel wells and el2 has wires.

Oh boy! Here comes the new version of the "oil wars".
However there is really no question. Original Power level with JR's valves.
Mref - I'll save you some time. Gene sez get the wireless remove level system.
They all have pluses and minuses. My read on it is as follows:
Powerlevel - all parts easily available but lots of tubing and the original dash valves are leak prone. Easily soved with JR Slaten's powerlevel II valves. Pricey but of the highest quality. You get what you pay for.
ELI - Basically an electro pneumatic replacement for the leak prone dash valves. Also eliminates a lot of tubing. However is prone to electric valve problems and electric switch problems. Also some problems with power supply to compressor having low voltage.
ELII - full electropneumatic implementation. Eliminates the dash valves and a lot of tubing. Still has switch problems and height sensors are difficult to locate and, I believe, not available new. Sensors are prone to failure and the system requires a reasonable understanding of electricity to trouble shoot. Also has the power supply to compressors problem. Two compressors instead of 1 for the other system.
Wireless remote system. Too new to have a good feel for reliability. This system does not have any auto ride height adjustments although most user reports do not indicate this is a problem. It does require the user to be aware of the ride height and to make adjustments as necessary.

Good morning all.
Since you gents are on the subject of the EL system I have a question for
you guys.
My 77 PB has leak in the system which I have found. If there is more than
one, I'm not at this point. The leak was found in the hex fitting on top of
the far left front skinner valve. It is a hair line crack running the
vertical length. Replacing is more than likely the only solution, but in
the mean time can it be siliconed or JB welded etc.?
Part 2, when in auto mode it only lifts the driver's side, to raise the
right rear you have to use the rt. Rear button. What do I need to t'shoot
for this issue please?
Thank you in advance!

Raising or lowering in auto mode is controlled by the leveling switch located in each wheel well. If the linkage is still attached and you determine that you need a new one, Dave Lenzi rebuilds them or Jim Kanomata (Applied GMC) sells new ones. They are about the same price and right now Dave has some health issues so I would probably go with Jim K.
