I just saw this one show up on Craigslist in Houston. While I am looking for a GMC myself, I'm not ready for one that is too much of a project:
http://houston.craigslist.org/rvs/4876000859.html
I don't have a GMC yet, but I do appreciate the wealth of information you all have made available to keep these motorhomes on the road. I hope to put this information to work in a "new" GMC soon.
Thanks,
John

It has a rear bath. Royale maybe? And I believe he is only looking to get $1000 out of it.

Photo seems to be reversed, looking at the wipers. However, Alcoas and Ramco mirrors are worth the $1000. Just saying, bdub is correct, "A Diamond in the Rough."
If bought to part out, I'm interested in an awning.

I am just outside of Atlanta, so it would be an 800 mile trip back. Not sure if I am ready to bite something like that off. Might be worth a call to get the details. I open to travel to find the right coach, but I was thinking more of one that has been in use. I know that sitting unused is one not good for these motorhomes.
I'll give them a call.
Thanks,
John

That GMC might not be that much of a project. Especially if you are
relatively near that GMC, you should go take a look. It could be a diamond
in the rough.

I hadn't picked up on those details.
I spoke to the seller. He is selling if for a friend. He said they had to move it or it would impounded. It has 87k miles and hasn't run for three years. He said he had hooked up a fresh battery and sprayed starter fluid and it did fire, but he said the gas is old and it would not run. He didn't have many more details, but is sending me some more photos.
The red flag for me was when he said the the had a heavy wrecker move it to it's current location. He explained that they hooked up to the rear bumper and towed it front down. I haven't been looking at GMCs long, but I don't think that is the proper way to tow a GMC.
I'll take a look at the photos when I get them, but I am leaning against this one.
Thanks,
John

They say it is the "Kingville" model. I'm not familiar with that model. The bumpers alone look to be worth the money..

Reversed? May be custom prepared for Aussies, Right hand drive!
I would buy it in a heartbeat but CFO, I don't dare suggest.
In this case, CFO precisely correct. Just what I don't need.

Ill write about it too. I have friends in the Houston area. I just may get
lucky and score that "illusive" GMC even if I have to drive 10 hours to get
it. lol
Sammy WIlliams
I could get it running before I go back home to SC.
While I dont really care for a rear bath I could live with it. lol

John T. wrote on Wed, 04 February 2015 17:12 Yes sorry guys but it has been sold. But to let anyone know It does not have a propane tank so my guess is that it was used on gen or pluged in. Original heater, Ac units, water heater, bathroom vent, and looks to be a late update on the buzz box. Has had some leaks inside, rear tires are bad and was towed from the rear maybe about 20 miles or so.
Just to let you out of state guys know that the title is in someone elses name that is not the seller and person on the title is said to be deceased (so papper work I think would be a nightmare).
If we can find the buyer, he should be informed that more than a very few miles backwards with the engine dead will finish off the transmission. Not a personal experience, but I have heard this twice and don't want to learn more first hand.

Your right John, But that was the listing that it had before the first one you had posted here. I don't think that it is a relist after it was sold.
