Ok, got my back-up Onan reassembled after cleaning out all the mouse nesting. To use this unit as a stand alone in a black out situation I need to know how to get it wired to support a couple of 110v circuits (doesn't the Onan do this in the motor home anyway)? From the breaker on top of the Onan there are two wires and a third (two connected as one) wire from the bell housing of the Onan. Would the one wire coming out of the bell housing be the common wire and the two coming out of the breaker be individual legs for two separate circuits? Does the Onan support two circuits of 20 amps each?

You should have two white wires hooked together and one black wire. With the Onan running, measure between these and should have ~130 VAC (no load). My Onan is set up for 30 amp service and just uses these wires to power everything in the coach. You should either have wires running to the plug for the shore power cord, or to a junction box for hard wired units.
Just FYI with self contained 5.5KW generators for home use less than $1000, it makes little sense to use the Onan for home power unless you just want to. The newer ones are quieter, more fuel efficient, lighter, etc.
