John,
Yes it could be installed on the GMC and has been on several coaches, but everything has to be custom made to mount to the coach ( ZipDee does not make any adapters for the GMC ) and the cost of the unit itself is considerable higher ( 2X to 3X ) than the current ZipDee awnings that are made for the GMC. I prefer the simple and easy way the ZipDee is put out and away, I can do it by myself in less than 5 minutes. I saw the first coach shown on Jim B’s site at Dothan GMCMI rally in spring 2013. They were on there way back to Canada, Edmonton or Calgary area. The coach was severely damaged by flooding the summer of that year. Do not know if the coach was salvaged and repaired.

Emery,
Actually those are Zip Dee's: http://awningsbyzipdee.com/2773/4401.html
The first one he installed went on the Duramax powered 26' GMC he built for the actor. I was there when it was delivered and helped
them take it off the delivery truck.
It is a really neat unit that has a remote control that extends and retracts with a button. It also has a feature that senses wind
gusts and retracts automatically if needed.
There is one down side, however, it costs around $5000!

Not a ZipDee. Those were a European awning obtained through Carefree.
