I've posted 9 photos of the bare Interior framing of my 26' GMC. Photos were taken to help with my replacing the Headliner. I've annotated the photos as to the beginning point for the tape measure in the photo. Sorry the tape measure is upside down in all photos, but easier to deal with the smaller numbers.

Tom,
I have done a number of headliners and Max Pardy at Buskirks showed me the little secrets when I did my first back in 2000 . Rule of thumb one was remove from front to back, install from back to front. Use the old removed pieces for templets. They and I used the 3/16” luan paneling, but you can use what you want. Attached the Foss headliner material ( I actually used the cream color. )

http://www.ozite.com/dfiles/headliner_cargoliner.pdf

with Dap Weldwood Contact Adhesive.

or

I also covered the front cap with the same material.

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/interior-restoration/p385.html
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/headliner/p8677.html

The back cap I just painted with the Kylon Fusion Paint and never had any problems

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/headliner/p8682.html
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/headliner/p8683.html

I used wood stripping and made the side covers out of material covered masonite. You can also see the material covered plastic drain gutter and side valences. Anywhere the new pieces were snug fitting around the modules I use a bottle jack and 2 X 4 and gently lifted the coach roof to get them in as they should just back into the modules.

Comments are always welcome.

Now why didn't I think of stowing club pins in the headliner material? :-)

My headliner is similar except that it's actually Ozite Indoor-Outdoor
carpet (cheaper than hull liner/headliner from the family furniture store).

You do nice work. Glad to see someone else is not ashamed of exposed
screws. Makes life lots easier and is more "honest" than trying to hide
every fastener.

I'm Using Komatex, similar to Sintra. It is a German expanded foam product, used in the sign industry. It is water proof. It is flameproof, once the open flame is removed from the material, my experiments show that it is self-extinguishing. Because it is a European made product, it comes in Metric sizes; 2m X 3m, and 2m X 4m. Shop that I bought it from did not tell me that it was over-sized, or I would not have let them cut it down to 4' X 8'. At least, I grabbed the cut-off pieces.
Product is available in several thickness, and 12 basic colors. I used white. If you want different colors, you have to purchase a shipment of 200 pieces. This would make for a very expensive project. Since I only purchased 5 sheets of 2m X 4m, the cost was $55 a sheet. If you buy 200 sheets, it is only $21 a sheet. Heck of a mark-up.
Should be finished by International.
