Some of you have probably seen this on Facebook, but I figured I'd link it here as well. I built this track for my twin boys' third birthdays and it's almost complete. Certainly enough for me to call it complete before their party! Not much GMC topic, but I am using Ray S.'s GMC pinewood derby kit. The heavy duty cars will stand up to the punishment this 50' long track will dish out much better than the little pinewood cars. Plus it's better for the kids for them to be bigger and more fun since, well, I like GMCs!

The outcomes are largely random. The far track is generally faster but neither is anything close to a perfect surface. So at any time a car could get slowed by a bumper or slide along a guide. The winner is usually less celebrated than a clean run. Fun stuff for little kids. They cheer loudest for the rare race where a coach leaves the track completely
