Yes, the interior trim pieces are the same size so you can leave the interior trim piece in place and just replace the exterior mount piece if you wish.

If that's the case, all Ken needs to do is get a Fantastic of MaxxFan and swap it out. I'd expect his original interior molded part will fit inside
the new fan instead of the inner panel that comes with the new fans.
