Just go new inner and outer roof light gaskets from JimK. When looking at the lights earlier this year I noticed that, in addition to the inner gaskets looking like black potato chips, the hole in the roof for the wires was not sealed. Looks like it would be worthwhile give it a shot of caulk when I reinstall the lights. Any comments on this idea? I know it could make them more difficult to remove in the future.

Yes, throw away the factory clearance lights and replace them with one
piece sealed led lights. They are the same shape, and the foam gaskets that
come with them can easily be sealed watertight. I remove the moly anchors
that were built in factory leaks, and replace them with 3/8" dia. well
nuts. They can be effectively sealed from water intrusion. Stainless steel
screws finish the job. Brighter, and no more leaks. Jwid.

Hi Jim what thread was in those well nuts? I tried 8/32 rubber well nuts and they did not seem to hold the lite very tight, I could pull it off with my hand. I am going to get some jack nuts or rivet nuts, and install them. Hopefully the problem will be solved. Thanks Dave
