Well,A few years in and my last of the last stock airbag that was a hot dog upside down anyways has finally failed.I started with one that was new and 4 that were all old.Now the million dollar question.Buy one $400 new from Michigan.Buy a used one that could last years or just 5 min.Or reinvent the wheel with sully or 4 bagger.I am really leaning for 2 new from Michigan and my new looking one that has been on for 2 years for a spare.I feel another 30 some odd years on 2 new ones,No???

Tony,
You can put a complete Sully bag system on your coach for less than purchasing 2 high dollar original air bags and have a modern system that can have the bags replaced for about $140 give or take.

I heartily concur with JR Wright's opinion below. The Sullybilt system is hardly reinventing the wheel! It's simply a means to duplicate the original suspension theory and implementation with somewhat different hardware, cheaper (and easily found) air bags, and that uses all the existing pneumatic (air) system of ALL years of rear suspensions. It also takes lower air pressure to support the coach at normal height and you only lose about 1/2 inch of total suspension travel. A GOOD deal all around!

Ah... No, Anthony,

The thirty year lifespan was not a given from the OE parts and I don't think that the replacement parts should be counted on for that life for many reasons.

The Sully system has so much going for it that unless you have some driving reason to go with either one of the four bag systems or the off-shore OE like replacement, it is a nolo-contendere.
First is that the intended airspring (what it is really called) is a common part and even shelf stock in many locations.
A Close second is that the available range of travel is very close to the original. Last, at least in my thinking, would be the lower operating pressures. That would mean the pump switch could be turned down for longer air pump life.
I forgot to include price.

I love the Sullybags. Probably the easiest installation of anything new I've put on this beast.

Kits in stock and I can have one anywhere in the US in 2-3 days. The bags are in stock and usually cheapest at
Www.sdtrucksprings.com
Or
Michigan truck spring

No tax or freight on the bags and no tax on Sullybilt kit if you are outside of the great state of Wa. Freight for a complete set $34

A "new" bag failed catastrophicly after only a few months on my GMC. The bag split down the middle. After that, I didn't trust any of the new replacement bags or my spare used bags which were weather checked. I put on a quad bag set up but any system that uses current production recently built bags is the way to go.

Sully FTW!!!!!

Had them for nearly a year. First one took about half an hour to install, 2nd one about 10 minutes. No noticeable difference in ride from original. Firestone bags have an internal bump stop, so even if you blow a bag somehow you can limp down the road. If you keep an eye on the SD Truck Springs website, you can get %20 off and free shipping, which brings the price of a new bag to about $115 delivered.

No doubt in my mind, for price and performance, Sully can't be beat. You can get the Sully hardware for both sides and 3 (2 and a spare) new Firestone airbags for less than the cost of two NOS stock bags.

I also have these new bags. Only took less than an hour by myself to
install. Had them for about 1 year. I am very happy with them.
