Hi guys
is there a trick to removing the top trans vent? Nick at applied says large screw driver or vice grips, well the cap came off but not the vent barrel. Looking at the replacement elbow there are no threads but it does have grooves which I ASSUME fit a rubber sleeve? I can get it to turn but does not come out
any comments are appreciated...thanks ron Mad

No rubber sleeve. Just metal to metal.
Do as Nick says and just use a large screw driver to pry it up and out.

G'Day,

A word to the wise follows!

Be careful when you try and pull the vent fitting out of the top of the transmission, the amount of material fore and aft is thin
and if you're not careful you can break a piece out of it. Turn or rock the fitting left and right to get it out.

I'm sure you can figger out why I know this! ;-(
