Been kicking it around to put a fantastic in the bath roof. I have a 74 canyon lands with wet bath between frig and rear area. Got to looking and it's tight on the roof in that area. I have the pod on the top and the little aluminum rails in the back area. Has anyone ever installed one with all this equipment around it. I understand the framework allows it but as of now my little round fan is almost up against the pod and I wonder if the open area of the frame goes to the outside more or to the middle under the pod. Thanks for any input.

Piece of cake only if you have a small pod. Mine is very wide and I'd have to remember it to fit a larger fan in.

My pod was at least 3" wide. I don't know if that is 'large' or not. I've seen smaller.

Regardless, you can remove the original fan and put your hand in the hole and measure to the ribs and spars of the roof. That will tell you for sure if you have enough room.

We took our pod off but if I recall correctly, there was about 6" between the pod and the fan but my pod was offset to the left side of the coach.

My pod is 46" wide and there is only 1/2" between the side of the pod and the cover of the original round vent.
Definitely not enough room for a larger vent.

Finally able to check my pod, its 36" wide but with that and the rail I only have 12" total space between the pod and rail. The fantastic fan I have in the front hole flanges are 16' wide. Has someone used something else to let some more outdoors indoors for the bath.

Skip,

I moved the pod to the left, close to the rail. It gave enough room for the
Fantastic Fan.

Fantastic fans are well, fantastic. Put in the automated one up front replacing the original. In the bath, I had the same close quarters, but it just fit though the to only opens 1/2 way to the latch on the pod. The new bath fan is the simpler version and since the top only opens part way, rain is not a problem. Good luck, Michael
