Considering his app is free, I think not. As Emery said, his company did
a threat assessment on 10 different apps, noting their intrusion. And
one of the apps was cited by the FCC for selling data - according to the
Snopes article you referenced.
Anyway Mr & Mrs Mikkelson (aka Snopes) will poo-poo anything that Fox
News reports on.
