About a year ago several of you responded with suggestions on greasing the Wallace Bearings (Hubs) on my '76 Eleganza. Most, if not all of those presumed I had zerk fittings on the Wallaces. I do not unless they are hidden beyond recognition. Is anyone out there running Wallace Hubs and can you help me with servicing the hubs? Thanks

Stick,
I recently have had the opportunity to overhaul two sets of Wallace Hubs.
One set had a taper roller bearing while the other set had a caged roller
bearing #(6012)with no seal. Both sets had grease zerks on the side of the
Wallace Hub. The grease zerks may be hidden under a layer of grease. The
bottom cut-a-way picture shows a grease zerk. The zerk is fitted on the
side of the modified hub inside the rotor.

After disassembling my Wallace Hubs I also fitted a grease zerk to the
knuckle as well.

I looked over the previous posting you had on the Wallace Hubs. It is quit
possible to assemble the hubs in three position, two positions would hide
the grease zerk, and third position would allow you to see the zerk.

You might have to remove the knuckle to reassemble the hub so the zerk is
exposed.

Hope that helps.
