Hello guys,

I'm sorry I left the screen so suddenly.
I had an emergency in my family, so I left Canada in a rush.
I'm sorry I had no chance to say Hello or Goodbye to the people I wanted to meet or did meet.
The fact that I noticed, that having a vehicle in Canada is more a pain than a gain made me change my mind of owning a GMC.
I had to leave a Dodge Minivan back in Canada, which I meant to use to travel around to find a GMC.
Glad I didn't buy a Motorhome, since the Minivan is hard enough to sell for my relative who now takes care of selling it.
And then all the paperwork - I left within a day, because I booked a flight the very next day - And now I'm sending documents
backwards and forth, to add signatures. Keeping it would have been dumb, and just a waste of money. Also, I know that in
future, I won't have a chance on flying on holiday for that long anymore.

I am sorry, that I have to say goodbye. I think staying an active member would just drown me in sorrow, knowing that
the dream of the GMC won't work out.
I looked around in Europe, but they had funny ideas of what they're worth. I think I will keep my eyes open for a Setra S6, that
I could turn in a travel vehicle. It's another brand, but it's classic and the Kässbohrer brand now is part of Mercedes-Benz. And
they're fanatic about the availability of spare parts. Not like american brands here - Even my Chrysler badged Dodge
from 1990 won't get anything else than engine oil filters these days.

Even though I had to find out the GMC would be the wrong thing for over here - also because of the narrow roads and extreme
fuel prices and vehicle taxes (displacement based tax), I have to say, that you people all gave me lots of support. Even though
I found out it's the wrong thing. And I had to learn it by myself. So for that I would like to thank you all, I always felt warm and
welcome in the community.

So maybe some day I may check back on the well-being of the forum, but for now I must say farewell.

All the best,
Dominik

Dominik,

I can very well understand your decision in having something that is already there (Europe), and parts are more readily available there.

The specs show it's just a little smaller then a GMC 230 (23 ft).

Good luck, and do keep in touch and send pictures.
