Has there ever been a consensus of the weight that should be at each corner of our obsessions(aka GMC's). I finally got mine handling real good and for the first time I ran with a full LP and water tank at the same time and it didn't get bad, just not as good. I noticed that the right air bag added about 2 lbs of air on it's own to level it back out. And just standing back the ride height looked the same. Just trying to find if I try this again should I try to redistribute weight. Normally I never have more than half a tank of water. We went dry camping at St. Augustine in the over size vehicle city parking lot which doesn't allow "camping" but you can stay overnight if you pay their "parking permit fee". Because of the homeless situation there is a no "camping" policy in St Augustine. Just curious if anyone can get to their numbers they might have got at Dothan or any other time. Thanks.

Skip,

GMC loading weights are given in the Operation Manual and it has varied over the period of production. If you don't have and Ops
manual you for your coach you can find one here:

http://www.bdub.net/factory-manuals.html

I don't have the reference at my fingertips at the moment, however, GMC specified no more than a 250 lb difference on the front
wheels and no more than 600 on the rear. That's left side to right side.

Got a manual, didn't occur to me that GM would post something like that, that is such a dynamic number.
Thanks, I'll take a look.

Take a look at the gmcws.org web site under "technical articles". There are weigh-in results from two rallies. We looked at "corner" weights. Differences at the front can be caused by torsion bars mis-adjusted. The "X-factor" is trying to look at cases where the front corners and rear corners form an "X" if you connect heavy corners and light corners - maybe indicating the torsion bar problem.

Do NOT touch the torsion bars to fix an opposite corner heavy problem until you have the rear ride height EXACTLY correct. We have found that 1/4" difference in rear ride height makes a 125 pound shift in front wheel loading.

We will be weighing coaches and measuring ride heights on Wednesday at 1:30 PM. If this goes like other rallies the the weights and ride heights will be over the place.

On a few coaches that do not have operational leveling switches,
