Hey All;
I have a note on my calender that the LSR is suppose to go off this
weekend. I know there was something about it in August but am wondering if
it has been rescheduled? Just wondering...

It has been rescheduled for Sept 28 due to flooding .
It looks like I will not be able to make it there as International and
Western states are over lapin during the same time.
I will need to fly to Wisconsin then cut out early and be at Western States.
Why don't you get those two groups to combine their rallies or hold them back to back at Wendover?
Problem solved.

With a little additional cooperation they could combine the GMC rally with Burning Man and the Reno Air Races.

The Unlimited Air races would draw me out there, that's the only motor racing I have never attended. I gather Hoover doesn't lead them to the scatter pylon anymore, I've missed "Gentlemen, you have a race!" I have seen his act in the Aero Commander though. A friend who had a Spezio rode with him once. Had a cup of coffee, and was going to dump it and Hoover told him don't worry, it won't get spilled. He said it didn't, but it nearly got puked.
Even so, I'd like to go watch the Unlimiteds once.

I haven't been there in more that a few years. GMCMI seems to schedule their rallies in conflict with the races in Sept every year.
My daughter and I were headed there on 9/11/2001 when the races were grounded by the FAA. Every morning I would call in to flight service and see if the FAA issued a waiver. Every morning it was the same. They never did. So that year we spent running around Nevada, and Arizona instead of going to Reno. The morning of 9/11 we were in St George, UT and on 9/12 were were in Las Vegus watching all of the tourists go nuts because they could not fly home.
I wonder if Stead would let us park 150 or 200 coaches there for a GMCMI or Western States rally during the races?
