Every time I get approached at a gas station or in my own driveway.... they all want to know where I got it, who makes it, what year is it, etc, etc.
I realized I had no logos on the outside of my coach other than the GMC spare tire cover, and Recherché on the side.
The very polite little old lady that stopped at the house this last Sunday said she stopped when I wasn't home, wrote down "Recherché" and then went home to research my coach.
Well needless to say she caught me on Sunday, I was vacuuming the carpet when I noticed an SUV stop and this gal walks up to the door and wants to know everything about the coach because she couldn't find anything Recherché pertaining to my coach.
To save everyone a little time I went ahead and replaced the busted emblem at the front of the coach. When I purchased it the "G' was there, the "M" had a piece missing, and the "C" was nowhere to be found. To top it off they weren't part of the original logo that was on the front of the coach.
Here comes eBay, found what I was looking for which turned out to be the grille emblems from a 1991 GMC Sonoma. There were 3 on eBay, all of them $49.95. Waited and got lucky on a bidding auction and got these for $16.
No question now what may be following you down the road.....

No they won't. They'll just ask "What is it and why did you stick a Sonoma brand on the grill?"

The only way to answer your question Dave is that the logo that was there when I bought it was the 3 piece logo from the front of a 1991 GMC Sonoma.
My coach went through a CMC Restoration in 1991, they replaced the headliner, the fridge, the overhead AC unit, The driver and passenger seats with leather Dygert Captains chairs, the carpet, the original fresh water tank with a Stainless tank, and probably a few more things I know but can't think of at the moment.
You yourself saw it....... On Saturday, and on Sunday.
I replaced the logo that was there when I bought it.
Let the forum know what you think about my Coach Dave.

Your coach is awesome, not even considering that you paid $500 for it.

Why would you emblazon something confusing on the side of your vehicle that won't make any sense to anybody but you? Is "Recherché" like Avon or Amway that you are dealing from the RV?
It means "Obscure" in french and was named by the PO.

Send me 3 of them.
I will put them on both sides, and the rear.

Although the definitions of Recherché can cetainly be obscure, the dictionary says it means A: Exquisite, Choice. B: Exotic, Rare. C: Pretentious, Overblown.
I think they all fit!!

This is as good a thread as any to bring up a subject I was reminded of
this morning when I looked at the rear window of our GMC setting in my
brother-in-law''s driveway: A few years ago we had discussions here about
publicizing the GMC. As a result, someone, I think Rick Denny, created a
web site and many of us bought (from whom I don't recall), window decals
with its URL in a GMC silhouette:
GMCers.org
I just checked for the first time in a LONG time: It stil works and still
provides the sort of information we should provide to interested folks.
Take a look and let's try to promote using it.

That is depressing. Every time I end up linked to that site via one of these forum emails it seems like the coaches are better but the sale prices are lower. We should be seeing a swing the other way soon. It seems values were much stronger 4-5 years ago?

I ordered my Eleganza II logos back on Sept 27th, checked PayPal and the payment went through, I have not received any correspondence regarding my order, no tracking info, and no confirmation. I sent them an email this last week and nothing, no response.
Has anyone else had any issues with DL Design???
I'm just looking for a an email confirming my order, or an explanation as to why my order has not shipped yet.
