Just read about it today in a local magazine:
Top speed
270,9km/h ~ 167mph.

Based on the successor of the samba bus, powered by Porsche.

Peer,

Putting the question mark at the end of the subject was correct, this vehicle is NOT a motorhome it's a camper van.

Morning Rob,

Good catch :)

I do not know, if there are various categories within the mobile home
field with regards to land speed records. The T5 is definitely not a
Class-A motorhome, but it did keep all of its utilities during the
record run, and not just a shell.

Regardless, I think, the GMC MH LRS challenge already succeeded in its
goal of raising awareness for the disease.

Peer,

There is no way that any "gear head" would consider a vehicle the size of the camper van and a GMC or any other motorhome the same
class.

Bonneville has a website where one can look up the various classes.

Interestingly, the mentioned records to be broken in the past do reflect
the EU camper size specs, with the Sprinter not really being a lot
larger than the T5. I'll check the Bonneville page nevertheless.
