I will know more today after I try to run the non-inverter microwave off of the wet cell battery bank and Xantrax SW2000. If that does work, then the issue is likely harmonic interference between the design of the inverter microwave and the design of the high speed switching SW inverter. It is interesting that at 70% power my Xantrax battery monitor showed a draw of 122 amps at 11.6 volts or 1415 watts, while the display on the front of the inverter showed a draw of 1130 watts. Hmmmm.

I think the lesson from all of this is going to be - run the generator in order to operate one of the modern inverter microwaves - or, use one of the much more expensive ($2000+) converter/charger/inverter units that are designed around a big transformer. In the large coaches we saw at FMCA the microwave was generally mounted over the stove and none that I recall said "inverter" on them. Most all were apparently standard convection units.

Jerry,

I have the SAME problem with Double Trouble! I have a second ATS that when the Xantrex SW-2000 is on it ONLY powers the microwave
and NOTHING else!

The Xantrex is fed by two Trojan 225 AH six vdc batteries in series. I thought that the problem was caused by a lack of battery
power and was going to parallel two more Trojan 225 AH six vdc batteries but with what you've noted below it seems that's not going
to work.

Regards,
Rob M.
