I was in Pahrump Nevada today and was able to look over the coach listed in Las Vegas Craigslist for $3,000: http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/rvs/4616393670.html
The woman claimed that it ran good when parked 5 years ago (husband passed away). It appeared in reasonably good shape for one sitting that long. Inside it is mostly original but with a custom headliner embossed with a flame pattern. Body & paint in good shape. Has headers and 3 inch exhaust. Manny rebuilt trans. Fuel lines previously replaced and looked in good condition. Alcoa wheels, lots of extras. The only concern, other than not running due to the claimed fuel pump problem it that the air cleaner had been removed some time past and left to sit next to the engine. Pahrump is a sandy desert area with lots of dust and high wind. I fear sand and dust have entered the intake due to the air cleaner not being in place. Maintained by Dennis Richardson in Covina Calif prior to being parked. All & all a really good core coach for someone. Seems lots of interest as she said "50 calls so far" There was some one looking at it was I got there.

My son just bought this thru me. He is currently in Korea, returning to
Nellis AFB in November. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get it to
the RV storage lot on Nellis until he returns.

Nice. From the pics and description - I thought this one would be a good starting point for someone looking for a project.

Sweet. That coach looks to have great potential and the price was very attractive. I hope it works well for you son for years to come.

Great that you got it. When I looked at it in person last week I thought it to be a solid coach. Just not sure about the engine. If I didn't already have two coaches I would have been tempted.

If it is only a fuel pump problem you might be able to get a local mobile mechanic to get it running. Be sure to check out the brakes before attempting to drive the 70 miles to Nellis AFB as there is a long steep downhill stretch of road en route. I had to down shift to keep my coach from running away.

I'm going to head up there late next month and grab a few of Lenny's friends
, all mechanics and see what we come with. Pat is relieved just to have it
sold. Worst that can happen is I get it towed to Nellis. He is currently
at Osan AB, due back mid Nov. By the looks of it everything is done that I
have done to my coach.

Cheers,
