We are at the FMCA national rally in Redmond, OR. I took a couple of pics with my cell phone today but don't know how to get them from my cell phone to the net so sent them to Gene Fisher so hopefully he will be willing to post them.
Here is the story. Winnebago introduced a retro version of the hyper ugly 1970 s motorhomes. A guy in the motorhome restoration business brought a 1974 Winny indian that his firm redid and has it for sale here. The asking price is, ready for this? $750,000. Yup, you read that right, $750,000. The story here is he turned down $500,000. Find that hard to believe......so do I.
His web site is winnebagoroadtrip.com. Never complain again about the price someone asks for a nice GMC........

If you go to
www.winnebagoroadtrip.com
and look at the renovation pictures # 2,8,11,16,17 you can see there is a GMC in the same shop!

My GOSH! If they think that tin & stick box is worth $750,000, I wonder
how many $Millions they'll want for the Palm Beach?
Then again, rarity seems to sell -- there can't be many of those Winnebagos
that have lasted this long. Maybe we'd better start scrapping GMC's after
all!

I have an early 70's Winnebago Brave sitting on my property in Costa Mesa, Ca. If anyone wants to pay $29,598 for it I'll thrown it two good running 76' GMCs. I'll even deliver the GMCs to any place in the CONUS or Canada but you'll have to come and get the Winne.

The scary thing about the early 70's Winnie is they don't have any framing in the body just sandwiched foam. They just cut the foam where they wanted to install the windows etc. I had a 1970 chieftain and I was afraid if I got hit it would disc inter grate .
