Planning the headliner replacement I wonder, if all the interior has to
get out, especially the full height enclosures like fridge, bathroom and
cupboard, or only the hanging cupboards?
According to GMC Motorhome News 22/1999 I only need to remove the
overhead cabinets, but I want to make sure beforehand.
Thanks

What model and year is your coach? Transmode builds--- Coachmen, Avion,
etc. had the headliner installed BEFORE the bulkhead walls and cabinets.
It is difficuly replacing the headliner. GM floorplan coaches did not have
this afflction, the overhead cabinets come down and the rest can be done.
Good luck, there are many factors to consider doing a headliner...

Larry,

Yes, that is a very helpful picture.
I assume the left of the photo is the front, and the top of the photo is
the drivers side, isn't it.

Could not see those pics, in that the 1/8" luan plywood we use is 4x8' we make 24" panels buildind the headliner usinf 1/4" "divider bar" H mold locking each panel in place back to front. Cover the wood with pleather vinyl with chrome mylar bubble foil as additional insulation. Leak test with headliner out and seal up before installation. New wires, hoses or whatever before the install. Repair overheads or refonish before install. Think on walls and window treatments while you are there. Dye front and rear plastic caps. Pitch cross curtain if you don't use it. If your top clearance lights are old, pull the caps, replace lights with LED and check the seal before install.
Should take @ 20 hours labor & @ $3-400 in materials.
Hope this helps,
