Has anyone else noticed that the Forum seems slow to respond the last few weeks? I access it from several locations and it doesn't seem to make any difference. Sometimes the "respond" or the back buttons take forever to work.

Sure have. I have fiber optic internet and a very fast computer. Just opening a post takes around 10 seconds. Yesterday (Sunday) morning I though it was fixed, but today the lag is back.
Edit: After writing the about and clicking submit it took 16 seconds for the post to appear.

I haven't noticed a lag, but I'm old and slow anyway.

That's why I asked since maybe it's me as well. I sure can't complain about the Forum overall--I love it.

My computer has gotten unbelievably slow also sometimes I have to turn it off and try later
Same here but I know it is my ancient PC laptop. If there was a lag elsewhere I'd never even notice.

I sure have. It has been doing it for several weeks. I figure the service provider has it throttled down because the problem shows up 24 hours a day. I can ping the site and the response times are great while concurrently the actual web page is taking sometimes 10 to 15 seconds to paint. I was thinking that the provider might not like the extra bandwidth we are taking because of the "tree view" not working correctly.
I haven't said anything to Eugene. We do not have much to complain about for the free service we have received for years from Eugene. Without Eugene we would be stuck with the headaches of email and I do not really do not have enough time to contend with that.

I have noticed it with 2 different computers in different locations with three different service providers. So I think the problem is internal to the forum.
I noticed a change about the time that the email users got cut from the system.

Yes that was the same time that Eugene upgraded the software, I believe changed service providers, and the "tree view" problem surfaced. I hesitate to complain. Eugene does such a great service for us for free. Without it, I and many others would be out of here.
Edit: It just took 92 seconds for the system to accept and respond to the last posting.

As long as you're a day ahead, Peter, would you mind checking tomorrow's lottery numbers?
