When I met my friend near Dallas we talked a bit about the interior and
I mentioned the yellowing of all the trim pieces. He said, the same
problem happens on older computers from the 70s and 80s. Someone finally
found out, why this happens, and they found a solution to fix it, which
does not involve using a new paint.

Peer,
Yes, I heard of, and tried a variant of, that many years ago (having been a
very early microcomputer dealer). My choice of spray paint for all of
my interior plastic reflects my opinion of the results. I've had no more
yellowing during the past 16 years.

Taking the parts out and sitting them in the sun for a day with this solution on them doesn't really work for me. I plan on masking off the cockpit headliner and rear cap plastic and spraying it with SEM brand paint for plastic (available at auto paint stores). The new Krylon paint for plastic should work fine also.

Peer,
Yes, this was discussed on the GMCnet several years ago, however, it's not practical for the large pieces of plastic such and the
cockpit and back headliners. You could do the early model window surrounds but then you'd wind up with different colors.
Easier just to paint the plastic.

Damn, and here I thought I would finally have something worthwhile to
contribute to the GMC MH knowledge pool. I'll continue my quest :)
Thanks guys for the information about your experience with it.
