When I first joined this net years ago, I was excited about the knowledge and sharing that was available. However, I quickly became aware of the old crows that ruled the conversations--many of them are still here. I realize now that I have become one of them and I apologize to every new member for that. A recent conversation by a new, young member with a family that wants to enjoy their motorhome turned into a who knows more, what their credentials are and who's penis is biggest. I'm going to try to not let that happen to me again.

Bob,

I don't know which conversation you're referring to, and it doesn't really
matter. Good job. I hope to eventually join the "Old Crows" Club myself and
will remember your advice when I do.

I hope this doesn't mean that you'll restrict your sage GMC advice to us
newbies!

If it was not for the old timers that are willing to share their info and
experience, it would be a sad situation.
Guy is busy flying people on his SW Airlines, but find time to work on his
coach and support us the venders.

Although officially a Segway, reading and posting and reading responses to my and other posts on this net make me think and often bring me a perspective which I did not have prior. I don't take any discussions or corrections personally as long as they are not personal in nature. I hope others feel the same about my posts. Every day I realize more answers I don't have. ;)

I'm a newbi, hanging around here for six months since I bought my GMC. Anxious to learn, I think I've read just about every post made in that time. I've always found your posts helpful and informative, never inappropriate. I say, keep up the good work and thanks.

Well, I have the biggest penis, but I'm relatively new to the GMC so I listen unless there's something I'm involved with from elsewhere. When the Old Hands offer something I don't think is correct, I normally PM them with a question. As my ol' daddy the lawyer used to tell us "Boys, it isn't what you know that gets you into trouble. It's what you 'know' that just ain't so." Them as truly knows the GMC tend to surface here fairly quickly.

For those who are interested, my area of expertise is high powered RF systems and broadcast audio systems, with which I've been playing for money for 55 years so far. I will be retiring from full-time the end of this year.

Johnny,

It ain't how shiny or the size of the tool in your toolbox, but what
you actually do with the tools that you got. Rolling Eyes

My GMC toolbox ain't that large or heavy, but one of the jobs that I had
in another life was as an Army Armor Battalion Maint. Officer. I know that if
work is beyond my ability to do myself, I'm willing to pay a pro to do it and
do it right. The main reason that I bought a GMC was to travel and tour the country.
.....not to drag a tool box around. The other reason just might be the drag racing
we here in Florida do with them from time to time. I guess we all have our (and sometimes
different) reasons for owning one (or even more) of these beasts.

Just 2 cents worth from an old pain in the butt.

Kelvin,

I'm not even sure that I spelled it right. As an Engineer I didn't
learn all of that English Lit. stuff.

I will say that I didn't intend to be an embarrassment. ...and I sure
didn't want to offend anyone. If I did I am truly sorry.

.....or maybe I had a senior moment. Could be just getting old.
Time for me to fly away now.

Is this gonn'a cost me my karma point? Embarassed

I think yes. ~7 of them.

But as far as I'm concerned you get them all back for spelling my name
right the first time.

Cheers!
