This is a shot in the dark, but I am going to try.

I need to replace the fuel filter on the 455 quad carb. I am going to be out of the house picking up more GMC stuff and was hoping that someone could email me the information for an appropriate replacement. I have looked through the parts index and while there are carb filters listed, I don't see a listing for a'76 non-HEI 455 motor. I see a listing for 73-75 Non-HEI 455, but not for a 76.

If someone could email the replacement part info to rpeesel @ gmail.com I will be able to pick one up while I am out of the house.

Thanks!

Bob,

That in carburetor filter should be the same for all GMC MH's -- or Olds
Toronados. Or just leave it out and install an in-line filter.

Auto Zone has them hanging with the rest of the filters in the store. Part number FF1104. Ive also seen them in some Walmarts. You just have to pull the rubber check valve out of the end as you don't need it for our carbs. I found that Advanced Auto had a listing but needed to order them.

Along the same lines and not attempting to hi jack the thread, but how crucial is the nylon washer that goes between the fuel filter and the spring. I just replaced my filter with a Napa one and it did not contain the nylon washer "gasket". I dont think it had one in there when I took the old one out.

Thank you very much

It is a very, very common filter. I use to be able to find them in Walmart. I do not think Walmart handles fuel filters any more.

Any auto parts store should have them.

Here are a few part numbers:
