Folks,

I have been offered a lot of help here on the board and while on my first trip with the GMC. I am not nearly as knowledgable as most of you on the board, so I don't have much of a way to thank you. With that in mind, I will offer what I can.

I am a docent with the Smithsonian Institution's Air and Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy Center at Dulles airport. If anyone finds themselves in the area, please let me know and I would love to take you around the museum.

For those that aren't aware, the Udvar-Hazy center is the final resting place for the Space Shuttle Discovery, an SR-71, Concorde, the Enola Gay among others.

If you are in the area, drop me a line!

Bob

Bob,

That is very generous of you! I hope you're prepared, because I will take
you up on it (of course I will buy lunch).

I work for an airline and had an overnight there last Thursday night. I was
trying to decide between visiting the Air and Space annex again or Arlington
National Cemetery. My Wife reminded me that I hadn't visited her Dad in a
while, so off to Arlington I went. Good thing too, because I met up with a
friend who is the Commanding Officer of the Old Guard Army unit who provided
a tour that few have seen. Thank goodness he doesn't hold my Navy history
against me. Haha

Guy,

Please let me know the next time you are in town! I'd be happy to show you around. If you are in at the right time, I'll introduce you to other Navy flyers.
