CMT, a nerve disorder, will ultimately leave a fellow GMCer, Britt Palmer,
with an inability to walk or control any of his extremities. His mind will
not be affected.

As you recall, Britt is charging ahead any way to set a new record for the
GMC Motor home competition at the Bonneville salt flats in September. He
is trying to break speed record of 120mph, by going 130 mph to raise
awareness of the disease.

Jim K at Applied GMC is mustering up the troops to make contributions in
$25.00 increments to the CMT Association. Every $25.00 donated qualifies
for 3 prizes offered over $1,000 each. Jim will conduct the drawing at
Bonneville with Britt in September.
Twenty Five people from our tribe have contributed a total of $1625.00.

IMHO that doesn’t get it. WE CAN DO BETTER! Any suggestions????

Please, Please send your contributions by Pay pal to: tepryor@gmail.com

ALSO, one can send check, visa/master card/American Express TO:

Applied GMC… ATTN: Grace
38424 Cedar Blvd.
Newark, CA 94560

ALL CONTRIBUTIONS WILL GO TO CMTA WITH NO EXPENSES REMOVED!--

Living on a waterfront is not a matter of life or death. Its more
important than that.

I believe this is a very worthy cause and would like to Bragg on our group here for donating. I am aggravated that paypal charges me to donate money. Happened so fast I could not stop the transaction to see why it charged me. Oh well, next month I will figure out how to do it without being charged, maybe just send a check instead.
Did not intend to turn this into a gripe session about paypal so just donate and forget my rant.
Life is good. It gets better when we can help someone else.

Britt Palmer was not aware of the track rule at Bonneville.
He thought he could run on the Long track tat is around 10 miles.
When he got there, he found out he could only run on 2 mile track.
The coach handled very well and Brit told me that the coach was still
accelerating when he hit the 2 mile mark.
He discovered as he was preparing the coach for a drive back, that a hose
clamp was dislogged on the throttle arm , keeping it from opening but 60%.
He has done some aerodynamic aids to the front and sides and reprogrammed
the engine.
The 130 mph is a must as a Sprinter Van set a World record around 128mph..
I know we established a goal of reaching $10,000 as we acquired a special
email program to reach 5,000 gmc people.
It did not work well as I did not spend enough time ith the project and
assumed it would work well.
Any help e can receive will help the CMTA organization towards discovering
a cure for the disease.
I thank you all in advance. Even mentioning this to others will generate
help for the cause .

Britt is a healthy fine looking guy, but he has this disease that is starting to effect him a little now.
I was discussing about his coach, but managed to probe him with some shuttle question.
He graduted from University of Denver many years ago. He has a very close relationship with two other guys; Steve Woodword and RobTerkhorn.
They graduated at the same time and every 3 month, the three will blast away as a threesome and do thing together.
I had the pleasure to be with them at the shop in Burbank, CA.
We spent almost a whole day as we toured the shop that was going to work on the coch.
his shop was like no other one I have seen.
All the people in the shop were working like there was no tomorrow.
All were recruited and hand picked by the shop owner. I was told that these workers were the highest paid people in this field of modifying and rebuilding stunt cars and trucks for the movie people.
After the last years attempt, Britt drove the coach back to Denver Colorado where he reside with his family.
I hope we can have Britt visit us at our Fall International convention so those there can get an idea of a great person.
I want to again acknowledge those that have contributed so far.

I had few ask me if this world speed GMC is the same one that ran at the Salt flats few years ago.
No it is a totally different coach.
Britt Palmer has employed several top people to get it to where it should crack the 130 mph record.
Donation for the disease foundation is tricking in slowly. The 2 mile track is all the distance he has to get up to that speed.
Remember for every $25, you'll have a 3 chance to win major prizes worth thousand dollars.

I am looking forward to seeing that LSR record back in the name of the GMC motorhome. Pretty awsome an almost 40 year old machine can take the crown.

If you sent money via Paypal to friends/relatives, it should not charge you fees.

Jim/applied--- you should put a link/advertisement for this on your main page of your site. Probably lots of people browse your site that do not follow the forum. also a post on applied facebook might help, you have 157 friends on there.

not sure where else in the GMC community this is being advertised. not sure about conflicts of interest, but you would think anything to advertise our coaches out there would be good for all. no matter what the cause, or who is backing this up.

Pretty cool that someone is undertaking the task of putting our GMC back on top as far as the fastest motorhome is concerned. I am looking forward to seeing the videos and pictures. hopefully someone posts that week of what is going on out there.

Jim,
What Jon said, put a link on your website.
As I said before, my coach has everything Jim sells except the limited slip in my 355. Hope you guys needing parts win the pots.
