Figured I would come inside on this blistering hot day and cool off a bit before I started my next project.

The holding tank in this coach must have shifted over the years cause when I went to reinstall the valve with the discharge pipe on it the discharge pipe was contacting the cross member and would not line up with the opening in the tank. I think this pressure on the pipe is what caused the tank to crack where it did.

So I went ahead and modified the cross member.

First photo shows the modified cross member, second photo shows the bracket to show how much material was removed, and the rest of the photos are self explanatory. The last photo shows the macerator, I have not wired it in yet, and have not finished mounting it as I need to get a piece of fiberglass flat stock from work.














2 new valves, new macerator, and now I am off to change the oil!!

Check your body pads. The tank is mounted to the floor, a body part. The body rests on the pads and those rest on the frame. Squished pads would lower the tank in relation to the frame. This is just what your pictures show.

A few good guides for replacing the body pads. Basically the process
involves a bottle jack and 4x4, iirc.

It appears that you may not have rotated the macerator head so that the pick up is at the lowest point -- can cause the pump to run dry and burn the impeller.
