Like another recent forum member, I found my coach on the 4th of July, one year ago in 2013. In planning and preparing for my first real trip I have installed a motorcycle carrier to carry a light weight motorcycle. I started with a heavy duty through the bumper hitch from Jim K at Applied GMC. Next came a Rage PowerSports AMC 400 carrier that is rated to carry 400 lbs. My 2010 Kawasaki KLX 250 weighs in under 300 lbs. So far I am pretty impressed with the carrier. It has a heavy steel tube with and an aluminum carrier and ramp. The KLX 250SF is a Super Moto model which has upgrades from the factory including bigger brakes and sticky street tires. It should make a good pit or campground bike. The combination of a light weight dirt bike with street tires makes for excellent handling and a fun ride. The wider shot shows the GMC at home in the workshop.

Looks similar to mine. I have it so I can hook the towd behind the carrier. Carrying 253 pounds on ours. Ken Burton carries a lot more on his.

I have a car I could use as a toad, a 1997 Chevy Cavalier with a manual trans that can be towed 4 flat. I am just not ready to go to the expense of getting everything set up. In addition to towing and braking equipment I would want to do a 3.70 final drive and auxiliary transmission cooler. So for now I have a Load instead of a Toad. Does not store much, not great in the rain, but does get 70 mpg.
