I have been researching, and need the forum to confirm…
Not many (if any at all) 23 footers from 1973 / 75 were made with a rear bath option.
In Calif. model years up to 1975 are exempt from Calif smog requirements and thus I have more flexibility with engine / carb / FI options with these years, so I am leaning towards those years. I am however finding it difficult to find any 23’s with the rear bath for those years. Did they make such a thing? I am beginning to think NO. :-(

David,

My '76 23' came with rear bath. But the only part of that bath in the
coach after the first 3 months was the shower faucet and the closet door.
I replaced EVERYTHING else, including the walls. I tell you that because
if you decide to refurbish a 23' into the configuration you want,
everything you'll need is readily available. The most unique thing in
there is the tub, and that's a standard RV component.

I don't have detailed photos of my refurbishment, but I'll be glad to
provide you with a description of what's needed to "build your own".

David,

The 23' version are only about 11% of the total population produced. You will not find a 73 or 74 rear bath as they were all GM designed Gemini interior and none were rear bath. There were 36 23' transmodes shipped in 1975, so that would be you set. I would have to say that your odds are not good. But, If you can go to a '76, then you have a chance.

Yes, a few were made but not by GMC. Chuck Boyd's Crestmont(?) is such a beast.

Chuck, does that make my 76 rear bath Norris a Crestmont? Or just a really handy coach if you have big coated dogs who need shampoo from time to time?
