Does anyone have any experience with driving the GMC regularly on interlocking pavers? It just occurred to me I had better check this out before purchasing and driving one on my property. I’d hate to see the driveway all cracked up! I realize a lot depends on the orig install, and my understanding is that the driveway was put in with a pretty solid foundation (gravel, sand, compaction…)
I’ve been monitoring all your conversations now for a couple of months, and you all have given me a wealth of information that has been greatly useful in my narrowing down my purchase.

that is a good question, that you are correct in depends on too many variables.
I would be more concerned about turning the GMC on your pavers vs the weight. the back two wheels, when turned, I can see could cause alot more stress.
so if you can drive straight in and back straight out, you probably are just fine. if you have to turn sharp to park, then the rear could potentially cause issues.
but if a paver driveway is done right, it should handle about anything you put on it.

My brother has a large resort like house in Southern California every winter we go down there and visit with him for a week. I twist and turn the GMC every witch way you could imagine and it doesn't have any effect on his pavers I just have to be sure I don't leak oil on them or he comes unglued.

I just put cheap 3x4(?) inch pavers under the front of my GMC
One side is up against the driveway, the other against a railroad tie.
they look pretty solid so far and I have turned in and out a few times.
If they are done right they should be fine

I have a pad using interlocking pavers. Been using it 4 or 5 years. No
problem so far. On a compacted gravel base covered by several inches of
compacted sand. Would do it again.
