Blue plastic pieces on the ground after sliding the Onan in and out, found the 120 volt output connector broke. While taping it back together the other one fell apart. Where can I get replacements? Glad it broke at home! It looks like this

You can replace that with almost anything, but these winch connectors are close to what you have:

Wally, it does not have to look just like that. Go to local electronic store and pick up two others with same amount of pins. Otherwise search the net. Or, hard wire it.

google search shows they might be Anderson PP75 connectors. The contacts are OK I'm hoping to find just the housings.

Dimensions match I think they look the same but 40 years later. Did they not change? Hard to believe.

They may just pop in. Anderson plugs are good. I use them sometimes. I looked at mine but way too small. 12 g wire connector is what I have and does not look anything like your 120 vac.

At the last GMCMI convention in Montgomery, TX in March that happened to Glen Herzberger. His Onan wasn't putting out any 120 volt. Everyone kept telling him to get a new bridge rectifier but when I tested things I found that he had 120 volts on both sides of his breaker on the top of the Onan.
I traced wires and found that one of the 120 volt cables was laying behind the Onan and the blue plastic holder was broken. I went to Home Depot and bought a brass clamp made to hold large electrical cables. They come in different sizes. They look like a U bolt with two nuts to hold it. You can put the two ends into the clamp with the wires going in opposite directions and clamp them together. Sometimes you can find them with a snap on cover to insulate them but not this time. So I bought heavy rubber electrical tape and wrapped it around the connection and then covered that with the regular plastic electric tape.
That should work fine for you.

They look like the Anderson Power Pole 75 amp series. I have some here, but the shipping to the USA will be more than you should be able to buy them for in the USA.

I'm thinking Digikey has them now.

Found power pole 75s on Ebay 2 sets for $11.50 shipped.

Contacts and housings. If the housings fit cool, if not swap contacts too. Might be a quick fix.
Thanks!

Definitly Anderson Power Pole Connectors. Going to Ham Fest this week-end. Could pick you up a set or two if you can wait that long. LOL.
These projects always take more time than you plan on. Send me P.M. If you want me to get you a set of shells or complete assemblies. Include mailing address in P.M.

Tom,
I've got them coming from Ebay supposed to be here 7/14. Thankyou for the offer. I'll post back if they do indeed fit.
Thanks

When you get the Power Poles and work with them, search on the web for "How to prepare Anderson Power Poles.". Most Ham Radio operators who are into emergency operations will have the special crimping tool used for a secure crimp. The web page by WB3 has a very good description on how to properly crimp and align the Power Pole. Yes, it can be done wrong. I have ruined a few.
I doubt that the power poles were OEM, but they are very nice for this use. You can break the connection without a major hassle. I recommend that you wrap the connection with eletrical tape just to secure them together. You can also use a plastic wire wrap to secure the power poles together.

Yep Anderson power pole 75 housings fit! Was able to use the original contacts in the new housings. The old housings had split probably from the flat spring pushing on them for 40 years. Only one of the four originlas was not broke or cracked. Twelve dollar fix Smile

Thanks for confirming they looked the same.
