Dwayne, I am sitting at the edge of my chair waiting for the resolution of your engine (or whatever) issue. I am the one considering a "pre-emptive" engine/tranny replacement (while I am still earning some money), and these new engine "issues" have me wondering about my mental state. (My 110k engine runs fine.....).
Did you come to any conclusion on your issue? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks.

Gary Berry wrote on Thu, 26 June 2014 09:00The last I heard from Dwyane (email) was that they had gone to Florida
(sans motorhome) and went on a cruise. Not sure when they are to be back
but he mentioned that the engine (#8 cylinder bearing possibly) would be
fixed by the July 8th. Again, just the last I heard. Others may have a
newer update.

Seems it's almost 7 or 8 that spins but a new motor? Since #8 spun on mine it's always on my mind. I will never rev mine more then 4000 rpm to limit the chance it can happen again. When I removed my 1st 455 to rebuild it at 97000 miles just because it should be due I found # 7 not looking too good.

As of an email from Dwayne last night their first thought was rod bearing. Latest thought was cam lobe. Two weeks before resolution. Yes they are now on a cruise.

A cruise should help reduce the stress levels...
It wouldn't be great when the main source of your stress is the thing that's supposed to be reducing it (i.e. the GMC)!
