I read somewhere that 16.5" tires are no longer being made. Is that true?
And would that mean that whatever GMC that's around for sale with 16.5"
rims automatically has to be 3,0-3,5kUSD less?
Inquiring minds would like to know :)

Thanks for the quick answer, Ken.
So it is just 1kUSD for new tires, and not 3k or more for new rims +
tires for anyone trying to buy one with the original 16.5" rims.

Another thing to consider is that prior to sometime in the 1975 model run, rims were switched to radial rims to accommodate the radial tires. If a coach earlier than that still has the original rims, radial tires should not be used on the GMC unless you also replace the rims.

In a fair world, perhaps. But if life were "fair" I would own a fleet of exotic cars, the money to keep them fueled, and the free time to keep them exercised...
Seriously, if you cannot get tires in your country, then the price is definitely affected. In a $25k, or better, restored coach, sure, a cheaper one, not so much. There are a few happy exceptions (some of the lucky b@stards have posted here recently) but from my shopping experiences, with a sub ?3000 coach, wheels and tires are the least of your potential issues...
You can always ask.

remember that you can also find steel 16" wheels that fit, at least here in the states for a few hundred dollars. Harder to find, but cheaper than Aluminum
