Hi you all,

I installed a new Mondello 403 engine and also installed the new A/C
Compressor S6, which Jim K. is selling for $ 319.95 as a direct replacement
for the original compressor.

I bought the A/C Adjuster from Jim K. for $ 69.95 and when Jim K. serviced
my coach I was told the A/C adjuster does not work on the new A/C compressor
S6. I had new belts installed and Jim K. adjusted the belt.

Jim K. took the A/C Adjuster graciously back and gave me a credit. At that
time the A/C did work.

After having stored my GMC Royale for the winter and gotten it out again
last week the belt is slipping and no air-conditioning is going on!

My question i: Have any of you who installed this new A/C Compressor S6,
which is a direct replacement for the original A/C compressor any problem
installing an A/C Adjuster?

Your feedback is appreciated.

Now I have to hire another mechanic to adjust this belt!

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Best Regards

Peter Huber

I put that same compressor in last summer. This fall my belt started to slip. I tightened it again (it was a new belt and it had stretched a little). So far all is good again.

Peter,

You're in Oakland? You are only 15 minutes away from Jim K. I don't
understand why you NEED to look for a new mechanic when you're so close to
Applied GMC.
